Five days into our trip, we were hiking under a rainforest canopy on the rock outcroppings of a stream, and Charlotte took a big fall. Her knees and palms skidded against the unfriendly rocks.
After tears and more tears and benevolent bandaid-sharing from other tourists, Charlotte said, “Mommy, can we talk about a land that has only pillows and blankets?”
