I used to think that the more prayerful I felt while writing a book, the more it expressed God’s heart … the more it could reach you, my reader.

If I drove to the coffee shop down the street in tears on the way, with a Moleskine full of notes I’d scribbled at odd hours as “ideas from Him,” then surely the pages I wrote would stir the heart of readers.
