Thank you for putting words to the feelings and emotions we all experience at one time or another and many, maybe too much of the time. Am I seen, understood, does anyone care? Then sadly, we can sweep it under the proverbial rug with, "it thinking more highly of others than myself" it doesn't really matter. But yes it does. And as Alicia and you mention, we can be assured that God does see and while we do all things for Him, it's still nice to be seen and understood here on earth. Especially by those closest to us. I do get it ;) Love ...

I love this post, Sarah. It speaks directly to my heart. I’m walking a lonely road myself lately and pondered this exact thing. Of all the people in my life, only one person has somewhat understood. I will always remember what she said to me one evening. She said “the people who need to see you, DO see you. God will make sure of that.” This has resonated deep into my soul. What depth of wisdom are in those 2 statements!! In considering these words, I’ve asked myself if my perception of what it means to be seen is faulty. Is my desire to be seen by others my driving motivation in life? For years it has been. My focus should be to ask God to allow me to be seen for His glory to be manifested in the lives of those who NEED to see me. And that they will see. There are so many things I could write/say about this. Your post is a reminder that God does see. He is so wonderfully good.
My need to be noticed & all the times it is not fulfilled ...I was made by my creator with that need & he fulfills it completely even before I came to be!
Also made me realize how I should take the time to notice those God brings into my life! It gives worth & value... that which God gives me !
